Guide dogs that accompany passengers with disabilities are allowed to ride on gondolas without being kept in a carry case. Please ask staff if you have any questions.
※Wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility need to be accompanied by an escort when they ride a gondola.
※Please understand that wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility are not allowed to ride on a gondola without being accompanied by an escort.

Using the Gondola with a wheelchair

①At the parking lot
Inform staff at the entrance that you are a wheelchair user or the user’s escort. Staff will guide you to the parking space near the ropeway boarding spot.

②Confirmation that your wheelchair fits the gondola
Wheelchairs equipped with hand rims larger than 55cm in width cannot ride a gondola due to the width of the gondola’s door. In that case we will lend you one of our wheelchairs for free.
※Wheelchairs larger than 55cm in width can be taken on a gondola if they are folded.
※Please understand that there may be circumstances where we cannot meet your request as the number of wheelchairs available for rent is limited.

③Enter the building through the entrance exclusively for wheelchair users.
If you do not have tickets, your escort should buy them at the ticket counter.

④Getting on a gondola (Ascent)
Please board at the wheelchair boarding spot. Your escort and other companions should board first while our staff guide your wheelchair onto the gondola.

⑤Getting off a gondola (Ascent)
When you arrive at the Summit Park Station, our staff will help you to get off the gondola, and then guide you to the exit of the station.
When you get to the exit, staff will explain what to do at the time of descent, including how to use the entry phone. Please follow their instructions.
Enjoy your time at the Summit Park.

⑥Getting on a gondola (Descent)
Ask for a staff member following the procedures that staff explained when you got off the gondola (as described in ⑤). Then follow staff’s instructions and move to the boarding spot.

⑦Getting on a gondola (Descent)
Please get on a gondola in the same procedures as you did when ascending the mountain.

⑧Getting off a gondola (Descent)
When you arrive at the Yunoyama Hot Springs Station at the base, our staff will help you to get off the gondola and accompany you to the parking lot.
※If you come to the ropeway station on foot from a nearby hotel, please inform staff at the counter that you are a wheelchair user. Staff will then guide you and your escort to the entrance for wheelchairs, and the rest of your companions will enter the station through the ticket gate.
